Scott Wilson is the Training Director for ODS and will be your Instructor.
Scott discovered scuba diving with his dad back in 1985, when he was just 12 years old. After his dad passed away in 1992, Scott worked full time in the Dive industry until he joined the United States Navy in 2001 and has taught professionally for over 26 years.
Scott holds over 50 recreational and technical diving certifications through several professional dive agencies gained over 3,000+ logged dives and has a wealth of knowledge to pass on to his students.
When searching for an instructor, it's important to choose someone who has diverse experience.
Scott has taught in multiple demanding environments, including the frigid waters off the coast of Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. He has taught in Oklahoma, and New Mexico (yes, they have water there), Arkansas, and California. He has additional diving experience in Florida's natural springs and reefs, the Yucatan, Belize, St. Lucia, Hawaii, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, multiple deep water wrecks, caves, and even the Great Barrier Reef!
Scott is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and is a proud, active duty, United States Navy Mustang.

Jena (Scott's wife) is the inspiration behind
Out of the Dust, LLC which began and is still active as our family owned e-commerce business.
Jena suggested putting Scott's love of diving and teaching into action and here we are with Out of the Dust SCUBA.
Jena has a thirst for adventure, loves to travel and handles all of our online marketing and "computer stuff." Yes, she is a certified Open (warm) Water diver, has a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, loves to fish, is an aspiring snow skier and is always planning our next ADVENTURE!
Meet Bailey and Max.
Bailey is our sweet 11 year old Boxer whose greatest talent is breathing and reminding us of “Treat Time" (when we give her medicine) and just bringing joy to us and everyone she meets.
Beside her is little brother, Max, our professionally trained “mutt” who oversees our day to day operations with daily and nightly security, patrol rounds through our back yard.
If you have any questions, please contact Scott. Max's customer service is a little...ruff!
